Pale Grey Lore will be celebrating the vinyl release of its debut record December 1st at Spacebar.

The self-titled effort dropped last summer, self-released on CD and online. Frontman Michael Miller said the band was planning on doing the same for the vinyl edition until it was picked up by Oak Island Records, an imprint of German label Kozmik Artifactz.

The release will be a 300-run of transparent orange vinyl, with copies available on the Kozmik Artifactz website. The band will also have copies available online and at shows.

Pale Grey Lore is a metal band with a psychedelic tinge, in the vein of Kyuss or the Melvins. The current iteration of the group came together in 2014, when Miller and his brother, drummer Adam Miller, added Donovan Johnson on bass. After recording its debut LP, additional guitarist and vocalist Xander Roseberry joined on.

The band hopes to put together a tour in the near future. In the meantime, Miller and the guys are writing and demoing new material for a second record.

Matter of Planets and Pillars are also on the bill Friday, with DJ Lasereggs spinning between sets. Doors open at 9pm.

Preorders for “Pale Grey Lore” can be made at palegreylore.bandcamp.com.
