Parker Louis to lay down soulful tunes at Land-Grant

By: Zak Kolesar

Parker Louis, known around town as an alumni of Forest & The Evergreens, is still throwing down soulful tunes, and this coming Wednesday is the next chance you’ll have to catch his self-named project.

The Columbus crooner will be hosting Soul Review from 6 p.m. until 8 on Wednesday, April 18 at Land-Grant Brewing Company; a perfect way to ease your hump day work week into an evening filled with jubilance.

Passion is one thing that Louis has, and it bleeds through his voice on any of the numerous projects he has been involved in. The current seven-piece that Louis is leading is just another piece of gold that his smooth vocals and guitar have touched.

Being so involved in Columbus’ music scene, Louis has also created succulent melodies with T.Wong and is a member of the band Small Movies. After laying a final show with Forest & The Evergreens this past November, one of the city’s most versatile veteran musicians is gearing up for a part two.

Make sure to catch Parker Louis for free at Land-Grant—located at 424 W Town Street—on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. If you bring a canned/dry/hygienic food to support Gladden Community House you’ll enjoy $1 off your first beer and a chance to win some Land-Grant swag.
